Although it pains me to say this, Obama can deliver a speech and do it well- I can’t believe I actually typed this.
During the Democratic National Convention, Obama accepted the nomination for president-no surprise there. He had big shoes to fill after Bill Clinton gave what some are calling a ‘rockstar’ speech every Democrat seemed to worship. Obama’s speech instead came off practical and serious, more down to business if you will.
Here is what the President wanted you to know at the end of the day:
Obama’s speech mainly focused on the ‘choice’ we will have to make come November. He explained that the changes he needed to make could not have been completed in only four years, and he needs four more to carry out what he promised. Obama advocated that with him, our voices will continue to be heard, and with Romney they will be overlooked.
“On every issue, the choice you face won’t be just between two candidates or two parties. It will be a choice between two different paths for America. A choice between two fundamentally different visions for the future.”
